25th Anniversary Suzuki Hayabusa
Twenty-five years is a significant amount of time in the world of motorcycling. It is more significant when realizing that the ultimate sportbike, Suzuki’s extraordinary Hayabusa debuted twenty-five years ago.
To commemorate that seismic event, Suzuki announced the 2024 Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Model. The motorcycling world has changed in those years, while the Hayabusa remains firmly on its perch as motorcycling’s ultimate sportbike.
The 25th Anniversary Model of Suzuki’s flagship sportbike continues to be propelled by a muscular, refined, inline four-cylinder engine housed in a proven, yet modernized chassis with incomparable manners, managed by an unequalled suite of electronic rider aids within stunning aerodynamic bodywork that is distinctly Hayabusa.
Launched in 1999 the original Hayabusa stunned the motorcycling world and gave birth to the hypersport category. Taking its name from the Japanese for Peregrine falcon – famed for feasting on blackbirds – it delivered unrivalled performance, was immediately recognisable thanks to its now-iconic silhouette, and went on to develop cult status.
The launch of the second generation Hayabusa in 2008 boosted capacity and power, while a mid-term update in 2013 added Brembo monobloc calipers and ABS. The third generation was launched in 2021, after 200,000 units had been sold worldwide.
When the Anniversary special was announced last year, Johnathan Martin, Suzuki GB Head of Motorcycling said: “There aren’t many – if any – motorcycles that can boast the same sort of history, legacy, and standing that the Hayabusa does. It’s not hyperbole to call it an icon, or game-changing, or legendary; it is all of those things. It really is in a class of one, and moving into its 25th year, customers can own a piece of history with this special edition, and to make it even easier to do so we’re pleased to be able to launch it with a low finance rate of 2.9% on PCP or HP.”\
Riders who have owned or longed for a Hayabusa and, who have a new goal to obtain this Glass Blaze Orange & Glass Sparkle Black commemorative edition, will recognize the iconic, aerodynamic silhouette that has been polished through wind tunnel sessions so the body features vent shapes, air diffusers, and reimagined logos while a sophisticated LED lighting system becomes the zenith of style and function.
The torque-rich 1,340cc engine effortlessly delivers a strong wave of power so the Hayabusa accelerates quicker and smoother than ever before, while complying with worldwide emissions standards.
Rider control is unmatched because of the Hayabusa’s Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (SIRS). The engine’s adjustable power delivery, traction control, cruise control, launch control, quick shift, and Motion Track ABS and Combined Brake systems offer the Hayabusa rider unmatched options on how they want their ride to unfold.
This special version of the Gen-III Hayabusa has anniversary emblems and logos placed appropriately on the motorcycle while select components have a special gold-anodized finish, and the iconic solo seat cowl is included.
Last October, Suzuki announced that the special edition Hayabusa to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the legendary hyperbike, is available in dealerships with an OTR price of £18,599, and will also be available on 2.9% APR finance on PCP or HP.
