A positive day for Aprilia Tuareg Racing at the 2026 Africa Eco Race
JACOPO CERUTTI FINISHES SECOND AFTER THE EIGHTH STAGE IN THE +650 TWIN-CYLINDER CLASS.
Aprilia Tuareg Racing completed the eighth stage of the 2026 Africa Eco Race, a 490 km loop starting and ending in Aidzidine, featuring an intense, varied route with canyon crossings and rugged sections before concluding amid sand and dunes.
Jacopo Cerutti secured second place in today’s stage in the twin-cylinder class on his Aprilia Tuareg Rally. It was an adjustment day for Marco Menichini, who finished seventh in the +650 class; Francesco Montanari was less fortunate, as he got stuck on a dune and was forced to withdraw from the stage.

“Today’s stage was very intense and demanding. There was a lot of sand, some of which was quite soft. Overall, it went well — I only got stuck once, but I was able to get going again straight away. Having started towards the back, I rode the whole race alone. Unfortunately, my navigation instrument shut off at the 70 km mark. I struggled in certain spots, but I could still see my mileage. Despite this, I put in a good special stage. I was hoping to win, but in the final stretch, my opponents found a bit more rhythm than me, especially in the last few kilometres. Overall, though, I’m happy”.
