BSB champion Ryde in Jerez WSB

2024 Bennetts British Superbike Champions OMG Racing UK and Kyle Ryde are prepared to battle once more, as they head to the Circuito de Jerez to contest in their FIM Superbike World Championship wildcard at the season finale this weekend.

Kyle Ryde will return to action this weekend as he looks to impress on the World Stage in the FIM Superbike World Championship season finale at Jerez.

Just days on from his triumph at Brands Hatch, which saw him come out on top of a nail-biting final race of the season, winning the British Superbike Championship by just one point, Ryde will jump back aboard his Yamaha R1 machine, at one of the most historic racing circuits in the world. The team, who will run full World Superbike-spec R1 machines, head into the series’ final round full of confidence and will be on full attack mode in high spirits in Spain.

The 2.75-mile Jerez circuit is no stranger to Ryde, who spent a lot of his 2024 pre-season on his Yamaha R6 at various European circuits, including Jerez. ‘Youth’ has also contested in FIM Supersport World Championship races at the famous venue.

With fellow Yamaha rider Dominique Aegerter [GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK] sporting Ryde’s beloved #77, the Jacksdale rider will run the #33 this weekend, the same number his manager, and coach, Tommy Hill took to his BSB title success in 2011.

The BSB Champion will be the sole OMG Racing rider on the grid, as Ryan Vickers departs for his full-time move to the World Championship.

Ryde said: “The British Championship still hasn’t quite sunk in, but for now it’s all eyes on the next race in Jerez. Once again, I need to thank Alan and Paul, all of my own, and the team, partners and sponsors for allowing me to race with the OMG Racing UK team in World Superbikes. It’s a challenge that I’m really looking forward to because we’re up against some of the best riders and teams in the world. I love Jerez, I spend a lot of time at Jerez in pre-season, and there’s no better place to end this incredible season. We’ll go into it like any other weekend and try to achieve the best results.”

Kyle will be flying the OMG Racing flag solo after Ryan’s departure to World Superbikes, which, once again, we wish him every success in.”
