Charlie Huntingford will compete in the FIM R3 Yamaha Blu Cru World Cup for 2026
Suffolk boy Charlie Huntingford has been competing in the R&G British Talent Cup. It was newly renamed for 2026 as the R&G Moto4 British Cup. He has competed for the past 4 seasons. He is backed by a group of fantastic local sponsors and the Mototechniks team run by his Dad, Simon.
The FIM R3 Blu Cru World Cup is contested across 12 races at six European rounds of the 2026 FIM Superbike World Championship. It is open to riders aged between 14 and 20 years. They have just unveiled the 2026 calendar. It includes the likes of Cremona Circuit in Italy, MotorLand Aragón in Spain, Donington Park in the UK, and more. This year promises to be challenging but exciting. Competitors like Charlie Huntingford aim to make their mark.
“Yamaha is in my blood, my Dad has run a Yamaha dealership in Suffolk since before I was born so you could say my blood runs blue! It feels like the right step for me at this point in my career, I feel I’ve done my time in the Moto4 British Cup and the FIM R3 Yamaha Blu Cru World Cup seemed like the best next step for me” says Charlie.
Charlie has had consistent results in BTC. Despite injury putting him out of 7 rounds of 2024/25, he never gives up and goes in fighting every time. Charlie Huntingford began racing via FAB-Racing, kicking off his career on a mini-moto. He traveled from Suffolk to M4 Karting, Red Lodge, and more. During his time in the British paddock, he had top 10 finishes, beating lap records, and more. Most importantly, he gained some great years of experience under his belt.
Charlie will spend his Winter testing in Spain at the Aspar Circuit on his CBR 600 and his Mir Racing GP12 machine. Over the past month, he has had the opportunity to test alongside the likes of Maverick Viñales. This was a dream come true for Charlie Huntingford. It further ignited his passion for racing.

Entering the FIM R3 Blu Cru World Cup gives him the chance to show everyone what he’s made of and just how much his hard work has paid off. Myself and my business partner Luke have always supported Charlie from Mototechniks having been a Yamaha dealer for over 20 years.
