D-1 before the opening of the pre-registrations
As announced, AFRICA ECO RACE will open pre-registrations for the 18th edition on March 15th at 12:00 (CET) on the official event portal.
This pre-registration phase corresponds to a promotional entry offer reserved for the first competitors to register.
During this phase, a strict quota of slots is defined for each category.
A waiting list will also be implemented in order to:
- Be contacted in case of a withdrawal in one of the categories
People registered on the waiting list will be contacted in chronological order (date and time) of their registration on the waiting list.
- Be informed and contacted as soon as the official registrations open, scheduled for next May.

- Race Bike: 30
including 10 slots reserved for the Malle Moto – Motul Extreme Rider category - Race Car: 10
- Race SSV: 10
- Race Truck: 5
- Historic Race: 10
- Raid Bike: 10
- Raid Car: 10
Slots will be allocated according to the order of validation of the pre-registration requests and after receipt of the 10% deposit. (Non-refundable)
AFRICA ECO RACE renews partnership with ERTF and MARLINK
After two editions organised with another supplier, AFRICA ECO RACE renews its collaboration with ERTF and MARLINK, historical provider of the rally.
This decision reflects the organisation’s commitment to:
- Ensur the reliability of the equipment
- Strengthen competitor safety
- Guarantee high-quality tracking throughout the entire route
A new pricing approach for the 2027 edition
For the 2027 edition, AFRICA ECO RACE introduces a more comprehensive pricing approach.
Until now, certain elements required for participation were managed separately by competitors or by the organisation. From now on, these elements will be directly included in the entry fee, simplifying both the sporting and budget preparation for teams.
The entry fee now includes:
For all vehicles
- Mandatory safety equipment including:
- MARLINK tracking system (mounting kit not included)
- 1 ERTF navigation tablet / safety system (mounting kit not included)
Fuel :
For Bike Race and SSV Race categories:
- Fuel used during the rally
(refuelling in special stages, bivouacs and certain necessary liaison sections)
For all other categories:
- The rally fuel service will remain available, allowing teams to order fuel according to their needs and the type of vehicle entered.

Next key date: May 15th
Official registrations opening
- The official registration opening for the 2027 edition will take place on May 15th.
(Note: the official entry fees and the two pricing periods will be published a few days earlier.)
On that date, the registration platform will be fully open:
- Pre-registered competitors will be able to complete their profiles
- All participants will have access to all the features the portal has to offer
- Assistance teams will be able to create their profiles and register their vehicles
The provisional supplementary regulations of the 18th edition will also be published.
