Dean Harrison and John McGuinness MBE confirmed for 2027 Honda Racing UK road racing campaign
The 23-time Isle of Man TT winner will reunite with Dean Harrison as Honda Racing UK fields its formidable road racing pairing for another season, building on a hugely successful 2026 campaign which saw Harrison claim victories in both the Superbike and Senior TT races.
Harrison’s move into the Superbike class in the British Championships will give him maximum seat time on the 2027 Fireblade ahead of the races, allowing him to make the most of the new machine’s capabilities on the roads that he dominated in 2026.

The combination of McGuinness’s unrivalled experience and Harrison’s outstanding pace has proven to be an excellent partnership, with both riders playing an important role in the continued development and success of Honda Racing UK’s road racing programme.
An all new Honda Fireblade, being ridden by two of the biggest stars in road racing means all eyes remain on Honda as they strive to maintaining position as the most successful road racing manufacturer of all time.
John McGuinness MBE:
“I’m really pleased that I’m staying with Honda for 2027. We were fast in 2026 and if the weather had played ball at the TT, we’d have had more seat time. It wasn’t to be though, so to be heading back as teammate to Dean and with an all new bike to race is fantastic. I have my 100th race start at the NW200 to look forward to as well, it’s going to be an excellent year for road racing.”
Dean Harrison:
“My performance at the TT in 2026 was, in my opinion, the strongest I’ve ever been. The confidence that gives me for next year should not be underestimated. I have no worries at all about developing the new Fireblade to suit my style and I can’t wait to see how we cope with the demands of a new bike. My crew chief Stew Millen and our data man Bob Grey are excellent, we work really well together and I know that we’ll be in a good place.
Having John as a teammate only improves our outlook for 2027. I think we work really well together and I’m proud to share the awning with him again. Aside form being mates, there’s a lot of experience to make use of from both of us. This lifts the mood in the Honda camp and we all benefit from feeling positive.”
Team Manager Scot Hargreaves:
“Dean and John did a fantastic job representing Honda Racing in 2026. Dean’s success was a highlight for the whole team and John’s experience, commitment and consistent performance are something we really value. Having those two riders come together to build the perfect new Fireblade for road racing gives us the assurance that we can be competitive from day one and enjoy our racing. We have a formidable rider line up in all classes next year, I’m confident we’ll have a great year.”
