FIM MotoMini UK is being hosted for the first time by Fab-Racing.
Alongside the MotoGP Qatar Airways Grand Prix of Great Britain at Silverstone, it’s a history first as FIM MotoMini UK is being hostd for the first time by Fab-Racing.
Over 100 entries, riders from across the UK & Ireland as well as Netherlands and Germany are coming together to race the first ever meeting at the brand new Kart Silverstone.
The weekend will feature 7 junior classes, including the FIM MotoMini Championship round. There are a few familiar faces on the circuit this year, including Freddie Irwin, multi-generation racer in his family – with his Dad Glenn Irwin being pretty handy on a bike himself! This weekend, however, Glenn is here just as Freddie’s Dad – supporting his son at Silverstone. Another youngster on the grid is Harrison Dale. You might recognise him from the MotoGP coverage in recent years. Previously, a young and excited Harrison was handpicked to spend the weekend with KTM RedBull Racing. This only fed the hunger he had to jump on 2-wheels. His Dad, Gary, who is passionate about two wheels himself and runs Queensferry Moto Routes, made this dream come true for Harrison. This was alongside a plethora of his loyal sponsors.
Fab-Racing are an integral part of grassroots racing in the UK. Many of our young British riders often start out at pitbike nights, karting tracks and more. Also, Fab-Racing has the opportunity this year to host this iconic new start for Kart Silverstone. Hopefully, this will cement the future of grassroots racing being supported alongside this huge industry event.
MotoMini UK 190
With two rounds to go, Max Robinson leads Tommy Keates by 29 points. Both riders should book their world finals spots at Silverstone. Wilson Dilks, the 2025 Champion is back for the round and is joined by Finley Polhill and Logan Couzens. Additionally, Frankie Watson is wild carding in the class.
MotoMini UK 160
Jenson Knowles currently leads Jenson Ansell by 28 points with 100 left to play for. William Dickinson and Joey Athersych are 9 and 10 points respectively behind Ansell. The top 2 go to the World Final. 2025 Ohvale Italy 110 Champion Mason Fedrick will be making his debut. Alongside him, the current FIM MotoMini Netherlands 160 Championship leader, Sep van der Zwart, will also debut. 23 riders in total are set to race.
MKGP70
Seb Gaslawski and Brad Curtis are set resume their season long battle. Matthew Thomas, Frankie Watson, and Kai Hawken will be returning to the class for the weekend.
MKGP50
Caelan Ratcliffe, currently second in the standings will be the one to beat. Behind him, Beau Morris, Josh Perkins and Tommy Williams will be looking to challenge him.
AC40 Pro
Noah Barfoot is currently leading the series. Finley Stiles, fresh from his Italian debut, will be looking to build on his weekend sweep at Ellough Park. In addition, Randy Carter and James Dermott will join them. In the Inters class, Austin Beighton, Logan Paisley and Albie Stone look likely to fight it out for the Inters win.
Rookies
This is the entry class for racing in the UK, featuring riders from the age of 6 years. Eros Garrett claimed a hat-trick at the last round. Bobby Baker, Vinnie Glossop and Grayson Mills all filled the podium slots.
