Hiplok Expands Moto Range with New Disc Locks

Leamington Spa, 15 October 2025. Hiplok adds two new disc locks to its Moto range: the MD1000 featuring anti-angle grinder technology and the hardened steel MDX.

“The MD1000 offers our highest level of motorcycle security in a compact, portable format,” said Ben Smith, Co-Founder of Hiplok. “It’s built to resist angle grinder attacks, but practical for daily use. The MDX is the same size and design, with steel construction giving riders a solid, affordable option for everyday motorcycle security.”

Hiplok MD1000: Anti-Grinder Protection in a Compact Format

The MD1000 brings Hiplok’s award-winning anti-angle grinder technology to a disc lock for the first time. Weighing just 1kg and measuring 105mm x 82mm x 35mm, it balances protection with portability for daily use.

Certified Sold Secure Powered Cycle Diamond and ART 4*, MD1000 features an anti-pick, anti-drill locking cylinder, and comes with three keys, a durable carry case, and two innovative Hiplok magnetic reminder tags to help prevent accidental ride-offs.

The MD1000 is available in black or neon yellow and can be keyed alike with the Hiplok DX1000 D lock, giving riders the convenience of using one key for both locks when purchased together.

The MD1000 is part of Hiplok’s 1000 Series, a family of grinder-resistant locks and anchors that includes the D1000, DX1000, AX1000 and A1000. Each product in the range uses Hiplok’s proven technology to provide the highest level of resistance against angle grinder attacks.

Hiplok MDX: Everyday Security, Same Compact Size

The MDX offers the same size and locking system as the MD1000 but is built with hardened steel. Rated Sold Secure Powered Cycle Gold and ART 4*, it provides strong practical security for daily use. Finished in black, it includes a Hiplok magnetic reminder tag.
