How to clean your motorcycle: Powered by Muc-Off
Are you new to the world of 2-wheels? Maybe you’re not too sure how to clean your motorcycle? Well you may not know, but cleaning your motorcycle is actually a great way to add a few extra steps of care for maintaining your motorcycle.
STEP 1: CLEAN!
The first step is to clean your bike. Which may sound obvious!
When cleaning your motorcycle, it’s likely that your chain is going to be the filthiest part of the motorcycle clean and will need tackling first. This is where the Bio Chain Cleaner comes in for the job. Its unique, super-strong biodegradable formula breaks down oil and grease to leave the entire chain sparkling clean and contaminant-free. Spray this on the chain, then agitate using a Motorcycle Chain Brush, fun-fact but the Muc-Off chain brush was actually designed specifically to clean all three sides of the chain simultaneously!
Now that your motorcycle chain has been dealt with, it’s time to clean the rest of the motorcycle. Muc-Off always recommends a quick pre-rinse, especially if your bike has a lot of dry mud, before getting to everyone’s favourite part: spraying a foam cleanser. The Nano Tech Motorcycle Cleaner foam is a fan favourite. And, it’s PINK!

Spray the foam on all over your motorbike, agitate using whichever brushes you have to hand, Muc-Off recommend their Soft Washing Brush for your flat surfaces and their Two Prong Brush for your wheels and other small, hard-to-reach components. Then, rinse the whole lot off to reveal a perfectly clean bike.
STEP 2: PROTECT!
You learn a lot about the elements when you ride a motorcycle, and wet weather = corrosion. The only way to avoid this is to use appropriate protection.
There’s a range of protectant sprays out there, the Muc-Off range not only leave a thin non-sticky protective film that protects your bike against corrosion and prevents dirt adhesion, but also leaves your bike sparkling and looking factory fresh.
To protect your engine, casing and metal components from road salt and general winter grime, the Motorcycle Protectant is a great option. This unique PTFE-free formula offers incredible water dispersion properties to prevent water and dirt sticking to your bike whilst remaining non-sticky to touch.

STEP 3: LUBE!
As a motorcyclist, you’ll want a lube that is durable and efficient for the weather conditions in which you’re using your bike.
