JOIN THE LEGACY LAP AT TT 2025

The TT Legacy Lap is back once again. With it comes the unique opportunity to take part in a mass ride-out around the full 37.73-mile TT Mountain Course. Both the start and finish will be at the TT Grandstand.
Taking place at 09:30 on Sunday 1st June, the ride brings together hundreds of motorcycles and thousands of fans. It promises an unforgettable lap of the world’s most famous road racing circuit.
This year’s lap will depart the TT Pit Lane at 09:30am, under the instruction of TT Clerk of the Course, Gary Thompson MBE BEM. It follows a one-minute ‘Sound of Thunder’ – a powerful moment for spectators and participants alike.
First introduced in memory of Simon Andrews, the Legacy Lap is now a shared celebration. It honours the people, stories, and machines that have shaped the rich heritage of the Isle of Man TT Races. This includes competitors, officials, and supporters.
For fans, it’s a chance to be more than just a spectator. It’s a moment to ride the Course, feel the atmosphere, and be part of the action on one of the biggest days of the fortnight. Whether you’re riding in tribute, remembrance, or celebration, the Legacy Lap unites everyone who loves the TT.
HOW TO TAKE PART
Participants are asked to assemble in the Pit Lane at the TT Grandstand on Glencrutchery Road from 08:30am on Sunday 1st June. Everyone should be ready to take part in the ride.
Riders wishing to take part must sign on in advance. The signing-on sessions are held at the Hailwood Centre (located behind the Grandstand). These sessions take place from Monday 26th May to Saturday 31st May, between 12:00 and 17:00.
