LUKE STAPLEFORD AND TRIUMPH RACING SET TO PART WAYS
Triumph Racing and Luke Stapleford’s successful partnership has come to an end. The 2015 British Supersport Champion takes on a new venture for the 2026 season.
Stapleford has a strong history with Triumph, having raced, and won the British Supersport Championship in 2015 with Profile Triumph. He returned to the Hinckley-based manufacturer in 2024. This time with Dave Wadsworth’s Macadam Triumph Factory Racing Team, he narrowly missed out on the Championship, finishing runner-up that year.
The 2025 season saw him return aboard the Triumph Street Triple 765 with another bid of title glory. Four race wins and six further podiums pushed him to a top-three battle at Brands Hatch. However, a tough finale saw him miss out, finishing the year fourth overall.
Over the two seasons with the Macadam team, the Leicester-based rider racked up an impressive tally of podiums and victories. He collected 10 race wins, seven second-place, and nine third-place finishes aboard the Triumph Street Triple 765.
Triumph Racing would like to extend its thanks to Luke for all his hard work and help developing the Triumph Street Triple 765. They wish him all the best for his future endeavours.
News on who will partner the already confirmed Max Wadsworth in the Macadam Triumph Racing Factory team will be revealed in due course.

“It’s not been an easy decision to make leaving the team; we’ve had two good two seasons together and shared some great times on and off-track, but it’s a decision that is right at this point in my racing career. A huge thank you must go to Dave [Wadsworth], from the start he made me feel straight at home and part of the team immediately. His passion for racing is clear and he invests so much time and his own money into the team, so to have brought them some success over the two years being runner-up in 2024, and also with the wins and podiums we’ve shared means a lot when you know how much it means to Dave. I’ve got a strong history with Triumph machinery, having won the title in 2015 and a good relationship with Steve [Sargent], as well as the guys, and girls at Hinckley, so thank you to Triumph Racing for all the support. I’d like to wish the Macadam Triumph Factory Racing team all the very best for the future.”

“We’ve had a great two seasons with Luke on the team and we’ll all miss him in the garage. I know the team wishes him all the best for his next chapter, but I’d like to personally thank him. The last two years really have been a blast and it’s been a pleasure having him with us. We’ve shared many successes on the track and have enjoyed good times away from the races, and he’ll always be welcome in the garage. I’d like to wish him the very best for next season.”
