Malle London have come up with one of the most exciting weekends you can have on or off two wheels, to beautiful Portugal. Imagine a slice of The Great Malle Rally, with a dollop of The Malle Mile Beach Race, with a side of The Malle Mile, all set in a beautifully picturesque canyon, just 20 mins south of Lisbon, Portugal.
The Malle Canyon kicks off on Thursday, October 10 with a delicious banquet dinner, followed by The Arrábida Rally on Friday, leading into 2 days of Canyon Carving Races, Ridge Ride Challenges and Trail Scrambling, for inappropriate motorcycles (classics, customs, modern classics, flat trackers, cafe racers and choppers), with a back drop of very special exhibitions from our partners in the Canyon Village, The Art of Machine Exhibition and live music/DJ’s on The Desert Sounds Stage to keep us kicking up dust in the canyon until the early hours and a wonderful selection of delicious food and drinks.
Guests are invited to stay for the weekend in The Canyon Camp, in a tent or camper van, with the option to upgrade to one of The Malle Expedition Belle tents, pitched in a shaded area, two minute-walk from the canyon village.
WHAT’S HAPPENING AT THE MALLE CANYON:
The Arrábida Rally
A 100km classic road ride through the stunning Parque Natural da Arrábida. With some very special checkpoints – not to be missed!
The Desert Sound Stage
Live music, DJ’s and performances throughout the weekend in the heart of the canyon village.
The Canyon Village
The centre of the festival – food, bar, live music, the makers market and exhibitions from our partners.
The Canyon Camp
A dedicated camp area for pitching your tent or parking your camper van just 2 mins from the canyon village – luxury belle tents available.
The Canyon Carve
Riders race 10 at a time through an oval track through the canyon dunes.
The Dune Climb
A short, but daring, deep sand, hill climb challenge up to the canyon rim.
The Classic Scramble
Riders race the 10km off road scramble race through the surrounding canyon tracks.
The Art of Machine Exhibition
A curated exhibition of art, photography, sculpture and rare machines.
The Wild Feast
A curated selection of delicious food from local chefs, served all weekend in the canyon village.
The Pit Exhibition
Wild, wonderful and celebrated machines from our enthused community on show between races.
The Motopolo Championship
Teams compete in this wild head-to-head motorcycle football game. Two matches and a grande final.
TAKING PART!
The folks at Malle realise it’s a long way for our British friends, so theyare working on transport solution for your motorcycle, meaning you can fly in and out of Portugal while your motorcycle gets safely transported to Lisbon and back. For details, contact: canyon@mallelondon.com.
There will also be a small fleet of off-road motorcycles available for the off road scrambles in between races.
For non-motorcycle guests, Malle have arranged a very special fleet of vintage jeeps, so you can come along for The Arrábida Rally, there will also be a chance for a taste of 4-wheeled off roading!
