OMG Racing saved by new title sponsor for 2025 season

In a last minute turn of events, OMG Racing have been partially saved. A last minute new sponsor has secured their 2025 season.

This means current British champion Kyle Ryde WILL line up on the grid for the first round of the championship. This will happen in just 2x weeks time at Oulton Park.

It comes after the afternoon April Fools’ Day announcement. This announcement, unfortunately, couldn’t be more true for all riders, staff and team crew involved.

They announced that the team couldn’t continue due to commercial reasons. It hasn’t yet been revealed which sponsor, person or beyond was involved that caused the drop.

Their new title sponsor is Nitrous Competitions – birthing OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing. It has allowed Kyle Ryde to reunite with his familiar Yamaha R1 running the #1 plate. He is ready for their first on track appearance at the final R&G Official Test at Donington Park.

“I am just so happy to be able to defend the title with the team after the panic of the last week. This is the best scenario for me after what happened; I have my familiar bike and team ready to defend the number one plate. I need to thank everyone who has been working so hard behind the scenes to make this happen and now we are ready to get going.” Ryde told BritishSuperbike.com.

“This is such an exciting venture for myself and co-owner Matt Phillips. I am a huge fan of the sport and even currently race myself too! For this opportunity to come and for us to be involved is a dream come true. We can’t wait to see Kyle and the OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing team in action.” Dave Williams, co-owner of Nitrous Competitions told BritishSuperbike.com.

It’s said the team have been revived but restructured. We don’t yet know what this means in terms of staffing. However, in a same-day announcement, it was revealed that Bradley Ray would ride for Raceways Yamaha. This move was led by Steve Rodgers in a last minute save the day for the former British champion.
