TOMMY BRIDEWELL JOINS FORCES WITH SUPERBIKE ADVOCATES TEAM
The 2023 British Superbike champion Tommy Bridewell gears up for 2026 onboard a Ducati, of which he’s seen great success with in previous years. Tommy Bridewell is eager to start the new season with fresh enthusiasm.
The announcement comes a short while after it was confirmed Honda and Bridewell would part ways ahead of the new season. “To have taken Honda back to the front in BSB has been a privilege and I am proud of the results that we achieved together.” said Tommy in their press release. Tommy Bridewell looks forward to bringing his experience to his new team.
The exciting entrance of the Superbike Advocates Team has been no secret. The announcement of their arrival hit the press in the early stages of the 2025 season. Proudly powered by Ducati, they already have a strong presence in the AustralianSBK paddock with front man Glenn Allerton. He is currently fifth in the championship at the time of this article.
Team owner Lee Khouri commented:
“2026 we’re coming! Tommy is a proven champion and a world-class competitor. His speed, experience, and commitment match the ambition of our programme as we enter BSB with the new Ducati V4 R. This signing makes our intent clear: we’re here to fight for wins and challenge for the title from day one. On behalf of the entire team, welcome Tommy.” Tommy Bridewell’s entry marks an ambitious step for the team.
Tommy finished 5th in the 2025 British Superbike Championship. Despite challenges as the season went on, the team consistently delivered strong results. It’s no secret Tommy and the Ducati is a proven match for success. The duo celebrated a total of 66 podiums, with 14 of those race wins.
Bridewell said:
“2026 is going to be a whole new challenge for us all. We are really motivated for next season. Most people know how determined I am. So, to be involved with this completely new project and being involved in making it happen is something I am really excited about.
“For me, joining Superbike Advocates as a new team on the BSB grid is a completely new project. It’s one of those new challenges I thrive from. Especially as I have seen how passionate and enthusiastic Lee, the team owner, and the crew behind this project are to make it a success.”
“When they approached me about racing the new Ducati V4 R – I was sold! It is always quite nerve-wracking to start a brand new project. However, those initial nerves soon went away when we started to build the foundations for next year. We have been working together to make sure I have the best crew around me. I have played a big part in that. I have been able to give my input on personnel and technicians, which is really nice for me.”
