#TheRematch – With a 1-2 for the top two in the title fight, Marc Marquez in P11 and Enea Bastianini in P14 – the latter duo after crashing and rejoining the race – the 2024 MotoGP World Championship will now be decided between Jorge Martin and Francesco Bagnaia for the second successive year.

17 – With a 17-point advantage over Bagnaia, Martin has a chance to clinch the title next weekend at Sepang,

depending on the Tissot Sprint result.

15 – This is Ducati’s 15th win in a row which is a new personal record for the Bologna factory. It’s their 17th win so far this season, equalling the outright record in the class set by Ducati last year. Ducati is the first manufacturer with 15 MotoGP wins in a row since Honda’s run of 22 from Malaysia 1997 to Assen 1998.

14 – Since the opening Grand Prix of the season in Qatar, Bagnaia and Martin have both scored 14 podiums. Their closest rival is Marc Marquez with nine.

12 – With 12 wins so far, David Alonso set a new record for the most wins in a single lightweight class season. Alonso is also the first rider to take five lightweight class wins in a row since Marc Marquez in 2010 (from Italy to Germany).

9 – This is Bagnaia’s ninth win of 2024, making it his best premier class season in terms of wins. The last rider who scored nine (or more) wins in a MotoGP season is Marc Marquez with 12 in 2019. Only Marquez (13 – 2014, 12 – 2019, 9 – 2018), Valentino Rossi (11 – 2002, 2005, 9 – 2003, 2004, 2008), Casey Stoner (10 – 2007, 2011) and Jorge Lorenzo (9 – 2010) have won nine or more Grand Prix races in a single MotoGP season.

8 – Johann Zarco finished eighth as the top Honda rider, which is the best result for Honda since Marc Marquez was sixth in Thailand last year.

5 – Pedro Acosta finished third for his fifth podium in his rookie season in MotoGP, and his first since Indonesia (when he finished second), which was the last podium without only Ducati riders.

4 – Fabio Di Giannantonio has finished fourth, equalling his best result of 2024 from Assen and Phillip Island, and taking his maiden fastest lap in MotoGP. This is Di Giannantonio final race of the season as he will miss the last two GPs to undergo shoulder surgery.

4 – Ducati Lenovo Team clinched their fourth Teams’ Championship in MotoGP.
2 – With Martin second and Marquez in 11th, Martin has now clinched the title of the best Independent rider

for the second time, and second time in a row.
