Trackday Addicts has launched a range of unique non-road insurance products, all available online 24/7. These are specifically for motorcycle track day riders and amateur racers.
What started out as a community group on Facebook dedicated to motorcycle track days and racing in 2012 has grown significantly. In fact, Trackday Addicts (also known as TDA) has since become one of the largest and most active such groups. It has 50,000 members and rising. Furthermore, as the group is run by enthusiasts who understand the challenges facing the track-riding motorcycle community with regards to insurance cover for themselves or their bikes, TDA Services was launched. The aim was to offer insurance products to enable such riders to fully pursue their passion.

Currently, Trackday Addicts offers four distinct products* to cater for various motorcycle track-related needs:
Fire & Theft Insurance for track and race bikes (no V5 required)
The cost to build a dedicated track or race bike can soon rack-up. TDA has insurance to cover fire, theft and malicious damage (including attempted theft) when it is not in use and it is securely stored in a locked garage, shed or lock-up (at home or another location). Moreover, the bike doesn’t even need to be road registered as cover can be arranged for SORN’s bikes with a V5 or unregistered bikes with a Datatag. Plus, there is the option to add ‘In Transit’ cover for carrying bikes to and from events when they are locked to a trailer or secured in a van.
Repatriation Insurance (often referred to as ‘Repat’ Insurance)
Most travel insurance excludes riding on track. Yet Euro track day organisers and circuits require riders to prove they have insurance to pay for emergency medical costs and provide cover for repatriation back to the UK. Trackday Addicts has helped design a unique ‘top up’ cover to buy alongside normal travel insurance. This solely covers up to £250,000 for emergency medical costs and up to £100,000 for repatriation costs because of an accident on a Euro track (even for amateur racing).
Personal Injury Cover (single event)
Riding on track is frankly awesome, but no sports activity is without risk. Therefore, Trackday Addicts has helped create a simple Personal Injury Cover that can be bought as a one-off policy for a track day, racing school or amateur race meeting in the UK or Europe. There are no long-term commitments and no complicated application process. Instead, simply buy online when it’s needed for a specific event and get up to £3,250 tax-free for a range of fractures, with the option to add £15,000 of permanent total disability or accidental death cover.
Track Day Bike Damage Insurance
A trip to the gravel can be expensive and normal motorcycle insurance policies exclude damage to your bike when used on track. TDA offers an affordable standalone solution with sensible excesses to insure a bike (with or without a V5) against accidental damage whilst it’s being used on circuit at an organised UK or European track day. The product is available for single day use, with discounts for multi-day policies. However, it doesn’t cover timed events or races – just track days and superbike schools.
