TWO TOP FIVES FOR PETER HICKMAN AT THE NORTH WEST 200

- Peter Hickman brought his Triumph Street Triple 765 home in fifth in both Supersport races.
- KTS Macadam Triumph Factory Racing’s Jamie Coward finished sixth in Race One. Unfortunately, a crash in another class ruled him out of Race Two.
The 2025 North West 200 roared into action around the 8.9-mile circuit on Northern Ireland’s rugged north coast. The Supersport class delivered drama, high-speed battles, and strong performances from Triumph riders Jamie Coward and Peter Hickman.
Supersport Race One – Thursday 8 May
KTS Macadam Triumph Factory Racing’s Jamie Coward and Peter Hickman, aboard the Trooper Triumph Street Triple 765, led the charge for the British manufacturer. Strong qualifying performances saw Hickman line up fifth. Meanwhile, Coward was eighth.
Race One got underway in glorious sunshine. Hickman launched well and circulated in the lead group throughout; eventually finishing fifth, with Coward just behind in sixth after a solid, consistent ride.
Supersport Race Two – Saturday 10 May
The second Supersport outing delivered even more action. Hickman started strong once again, immediately moving into third and becoming part of a ferocious seven-rider lead pack. He traded places at the sharp end before a red flag brought the race to a halt.
The race was restarted over four laps. Hickman made another lightning getaway in the restart and stayed in contention throughout. Despite being forced to take the slip road at one stage, he regrouped and was the fastest rider on track on lap three. He chased down Davey Todd but ran out of time to make a final move. Thus, he crossed the line once again in fifth.
Unfortunately, Jamie Coward was ruled out of Race Two after an earlier fall in Saturday morning’s Supertwin race. Everyone at Triumph Racing wishes him a full and speedy recovery.
