Weedoo Scrambler by Lord Drake Kustoms

This scrambler-style Sportster (‘Scramster’?) was literally built to go around the world – but not in the conventional sense of being ‘ridden’ around the world! 

When German customers, a chap called Andy and his partner, ordered this build from the Spanish customizer Fran Manén and his world-known company Lord Drake Kustoms in Malaga (Spain) and Miami (USA), they arrived at the workshop in Malaga in huge 4×4 Mercedes truck they had just acquired with the aim of travelling around the world.

The scrambler was going to be carried on the rear platform of the truck so that its owners always had a bike to do the local touring, rather than have to rely on the huge truck, especially in urban areas. 

This so called, ‘Weedoo Scrambler’ had to be a two-seater, so Fran had to create his first Sportster scrambler with a double seat. To do so he cut out and dismantled the entire rear of this 1200 Sporty and created from scratch a new scrambler-type sub-frame, seat base, and fender. The tank used is from a Sportster Custom, which has more capacity than the typical peanut Sporty tank.

The colours for the paint are military green/olive combined with beige/cream and red details…The number 69 being the year of birth of the owners of the motorcycle.

And the name? Fran said: “‘Weedoo’ means something like ‘We Did It”’, or ‘We Achieved It’ – but said as an exclamation at the end of a journey!

Its owners have already started around the world and after warming up their engines throughout Europe, the next destination is North and South America, then returning to the African continent and from there they head East…
