The Weise® Hydra 2.0 suit redefines what riders can expect from leather kit.
Traditionally, leather has meant outstanding abrasion resistance but limited wet-weather practicality. By bonding an Ion Shield® laminated membrane directly to 1.2mm–1.4mm full-grain leather, Weise® has created a leather suit that keeps water out. This means there is no need for a separate drop-liner or the hassle of carrying an over suit. Laminated leather remains a rarity in the motorcycle market. Therefore, this makes Hydra 2.0 a stand-out choice for riders who prefer leather year-round.
Certified to EN17092-2:2020 AAA, the highest level for motorcycle clothing, the Hydra 2.0 jacket is fitted with removable RE ZRO® armour at the back, shoulders and elbows. Developed in the UK, RE ZRO® armour is lighter and more flexible than most traditional protectors, without compromising performance. Its open structure improves breathability to reduce hot spots, and it is the world’s first biodegradable impact protection.
Weather protection is comprehensive.
A concealed waterproof main zip and waterproof cuff closures keep rain out when conditions turn. TFL COOL TEC® treatment reflects UV rays to reduce heat build-up in strong sunlight, helping the rider stay more comfortable on long summer days. Meanwhile, a mesh lining and waterproof shoulder and arm vents promote airflow when temperatures rise. A removable 75gsm thermal quilted gilet adds warmth for colder rides.
Stretch panels on the inner arms and torso allow the jacket to move naturally with the rider. In addition, an adjustable waist belt system ensures a secure, tailored fit.
Storage is practical and discreet, with two waterproof external pockets, a waterproof forearm utility pocket and two internal pockets. Subtle 3M™ Scotchlite™ reflective piping improves low-light visibility, while durable YKK® zippers are used throughout.
A choice of full and short connection zips, with a comfort stretch panel, allow secure pairing with the matching Hydra 2.0 trousers.
Hydra 2.0 Leather Jeans work seamlessly with the jacket, with matching 1.2mm–1.4mm full-grain leather and Ion Shield® laminated membrane, plus the same AAA safety rating: RE ZRO® armour features at the knees and hips.
Waterproof zipped thigh vents regulate airflow and two waterproof zipped waist pockets keep essentials dry.
Stretch panels at key areas aid mobility and an inside lower leg expander with waterproof zip makes them easy to fit over riding boots. They also feature reflective 3M™ Scotchlite™ piping.
