WorldSSP300 teams look to R3 bLU cRU World Cup for future talent

2019 WorldSSP300 race winner and bLU cRU graduate Kevin Sabatucci returns in 2025 with Smrz Racing’s new line-up
With the latest announcement from Smrz Racing, confirming the addition of an, FIM Yamaha R3 bLU cRU World Cup rider, to their 2025 line-up.

Yamaha’s award-winning bLU cRU program, offers an accessible and affordable gateway to the FIM Superbike World Championship.
For riders from as young as 14 years old!
During the six-round season; the competitors receive;
- Expert coaching
- Technical support
- Media training
- The opportunity to learn about the inner workings of the WorldSBK paddock!
All races are broadcast live to a huge worldwide audience!
The overall winner of the cup at the end of the season, wins a fully supported place on a FIM Supersport300 World Championship team.
In recent years, this program of progression has proven to be successful with Indonesia’s Aldi Satya Mahendra.
Becoming one of the sport’s biggest young stars after starting out in the R3 bLU cRU Cup in 2023.
His potential was immediately spotted by the BrCorse Team, who supported him through the Cup before winning this year’s WorldSSP300 title with the 18-year-old.
Naturally, as the 2024 R3 bLU cRU World Cup champion, Marc Vich will move up next year.
At the time of writing at least two other riders from this year’s R3 class have been talent scouted to ride in WorldSSP300 next year.
Snapping up young talents!
This is a sign that teams are keen to snap up these young talents before anybody else does!
After a season or more in the bLU cRU program, the riders are proving to already be; mature and well-rounded competitors, as they join the higher ranks of the paddock.
Jakub Smrž is the latest Team Manager to note the importance of this impressive feeder class.
As he adds Czech miniracing rider, Troy Sovička, to his line-up for 2025 in the R3 bLU cRU World Cup.
In addition, Smrz brings former R3 rider Kevin Sabatucci into his WorldSSP300 team.
Sabatucci enjoyed his time in the bLU cRU. He went on to become a WorldSSP300 race winner in 2019!

In 2024 the R3 bLU cRU championship was granted World Cup status by the FIM in recognition of its importance as part of the SBK Roadway program.
